William A. Hackney, Jr., CPA

Partner/Shareholder

Bill graduated from DeSoto High School, then went on to the University of Florida. He received his CPA certificate in 1978 while working for Andersen Consulting. Later that year, he became a founding partner in the firm of Doke Burns & Hackney CPAs, with offices in Wauchula and Arcadia.

His areas of expertise include pass-through taxation, income tax planning for individuals and businesses, and assisting with tax aspects of estates and trusts.

On a personal level, Bill has served on many non-profit boards over the last forty years. He is presently a director for the educational and community foundations in DeSoto County,  and is a member of Leadership Florida. He has been married since 1980 to Debbie, and they are proud parents of Josh and Sarah Hackney.
